The aging of the population places the mental health of seniors at the heart of social priorities. Yet identifying psychological distress remains a challenge for many community resources: lack of time, scattered tools, heterogeneous visuals, sometimes complex context of poverty and vulnerability.
The VIEsÂGE program, financed by the Mirella and Lino Saputo Foundation, aims to accompany and support the human resources of French-speaking organizations in Quebec and Canada working with seniors. Its aim is to strengthen their sense of competence and confidence when interacting with seniors experiencing psychological distress.
To maximize the impact of these tools, Agence PhDesign was commissioned to rethink the design of the teaching aids distributed at each stage of the learning process.

We've designed a synthetic infographic template to visually summarize the main concepts covered in each module. Designed for quick reading, this template facilitates information retention and encourages knowledge sharing.
A template for a narrative tool was developed to illustrate realistic scenarios, highlighting the psychological challenges that older people can face. By providing food for thought and intervention options, this tool stimulates discussion and guides the actions of training participants.
We've designed a summary sheet to help learners grasp research findings related to seniors' mental health.
All tools can be downloaded directly from each lesson, integrated at the right moment in the course. Formats have been designed for easy reading, with clickable links to complementary modules.
This mandate is part of a renewable monthly bank of 30 hours of collaboration, enabling us to support the VIEsÂGE team in an agile and scalable way.
