The Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec has commissioned Agence PhDesign to produce two videos promoting the engineering profession.

Bringing the path to genius to life

As part of its ongoing drive to modernize its communications tools for the next generation of engineers, the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ ) has commissioned Agence PhDesign for a second time to produce two professional videos to support its university presentations:

  • How to become a CPI
  • Why become an engineer?

These vignettes, broadcast in educational establishments, at events and on social networks, were designed to convey key messages in a dynamic, clear and inspiring waywhile highlighting the authentic career paths of local engineers.

Goals

The aim of the mandate was twofold:

  • Create accessible and relevant audiovisual toolsto capture the attention of a young audience accustomed to digital narrative codes.
  • Enhance the attractiveness of the engineering professionby highlighting the diversity of engineering profiles and fields in Quebec.

These videos are part of an overall strategy to modernize the OIQ's of the OIQ's communication tools, which began with the redesign of its university presentations.

Information

Complete production, from concept to distribution

The mandate entrusted to Agence PhDesign covered the entire video production process:

1. Pre-production and strategic support

Each video began with an ideation session to define the most relevant tone, narrative and communication angles. The agency supported the OIQ teams in the structuring the message and identifying the most representative testimonials.

2. Writing the script and preparing for the shoot

The scripts were written in collaboration with the speakers, in a style that was both professional and engaging, respecting engineering vocabulary while remaining accessible to students.

3. Professional filming

A half-day filming session captured the main testimonials, supported by B-roll footage. B-roll sequences.

4. Post-production and editing

The PhDesign team provided :

  • the routing and selection of the best shots ;
  • l'acquisition of music and sound effects licenses ;
  • the video editing with graphics ;
  • l'integration of titles, logos and subtitles in the desired language.

5. Multi-purpose delivery

Each capsule was delivered in a format optimized for digital distribution and presentation..
