A Montreal communications agency is taking on the challenge of bringing research and society closer together.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Montreal, March 16, 2022 <\/b>\u2013<\/span>PhDesign inc.<\/span><\/a> launches its activities today. A new player in the scientific ecosystem in Quebec and the rest of Canada, the agency’s objective is to support and accompany researchers in the communication and promotion of their projects. <\/span><\/p>\n

The creation of the PhDesign agency stems from a collective reflection on how to better communicate research at key moments (recruitment of participants, follow-up with partners, mobilization of knowledge, communication of preliminary results), in order to make it more visible, more understandable and, as a result, more beneficial to society.<\/span><\/p>\n

“There are not enough bridges between research and society. PhDesign’s initiative is part of a desire to amplify the points of contact between academics and the public. Many teams lack the time and the access to specialized resources to communicate their work during these key moments. Through the agency, we are going to tackle these two problems head on, alongside scientists and in collaboration with their institutions,” says founder Jane Gon\u00e7alves. <\/span><\/p>\n

PhDesign is a communications agency dedicated to serving the research community specializing in offering support to universities and institutions wishing to enhance the value of knowledge in the field of research and innovation through popularization and through its appropriation by society.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Who are we?<\/b> Professionals specialized in digital solutions, graphic design, communications, media relations, content creation, website development, and consulting. Since research communication is unique, we work in pairs: one person with research expertise and one person with creative expertise.<\/span><\/p>\n

About the founders<\/b><\/p>\n

Jane Gon\u00e7alves<\/b>: <\/b> Holding a PhD in social psychology with a dissertation focused on engaging communication, Jane has accumulated 10 years’ experience as a research professional and then as a university consultant. <\/span><\/p>\n

David Mendes da Silva :<\/b> With a PhD in cell biology and nearly 10 years’ experience in medical communications, writing and language services, David created the Papa PhD podcast in 2019 and developed audio and video production skills that he hopes to leverage within the agency and for the research community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Manon Boiteux :<\/b> Holding a Master’s degree in environmental sciences and a graduate diploma in sustainable development management, Manon has supported the research community in the implementation of interdisciplinary projects on sustainability issues for several years. <\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
